ABOUT DAVID JOHNSTON STEWART

Working towards becoming a qualified Financial Planner (CII Dip4). Extensive years in the investment management industry, predominantly as a Portfolio Manager/Investment Analyst at Martin Currie Investment Management. Prior to joining Martin Currie, was a Fund Manager’s Assistant and held variety of middle and back-office operations roles. Most recently a Senior Manager in Deloitte Ireland’s Strategy and Transactions team (Infrastructure and Capital Projects). The role involved advising key Deloitte clients to support delivery of multi-million €/$ major capital developments, including project management of engagements for one of Deloitte’s top 10 global ‘Crown Jewel’ clients. Between Martin Currie and Deloitte, was Interim COO at an online pet food retail start-up, a freelance investment writer/editor and client reporting consultant for Copylab Group – whose clients include some of the world’s leading investment management firms – and provided consultancy services to a start-up gin brand. Highly diverse skillset developed on back of varied career to date, having held roles in financial services, investment management, professional services, operations and consultancy.
