STRATEGIC RESEARCH & PLANNINGOur network needed to have the necessary ( & fundamental) ability to efficiently produce high-quality live event programming in the field. I researched & discovered a method to implement a transmission strategy which allowed us to broadcast events live on the network without incurring expensive satellite/fiber transmission costs. This solution during has saved our network thousands of dollars. INNOVATIVE VIDEO TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS TO DRIVE DOWN COSTS & CREATE EFFICIENCIESOne of our networks, The Cowboy Channel, recently built a brand new, multi-purpose, state-of-the-art production facility. We needed to be able to control the Fort Worth cameras from Nashville. We looked at transporting video over IP & settled on an IP solution. We were able to have multiple, synchronized, frame-accurate, broadcast quality sources delivered over the public internet resulting in considerable cost savings. TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS UNDER PRESSUREWhile working as VP of Operations, the production switcher catastrophically malfunctioned at our main studio minutes before our live daily news program. I quickly created a strategy to reconfigure equipment at a remote location. We were able to broadcast live for 5 hours from the field. This team effort & multi-faceted solution saved that day’s programming, thus salvaging our ratings & preventing any lost ad revenue. Always happy to connect Please check out my projects below
