As an Air Ground Transportation Specialist, I am responsible for assigning and scheduling shipments for all of our customers’ needs and demands. I provide a service which assigns and schedules shipments with company drivers, agents, and carriers partners all while investigating route deadlines, driver availability, shipment specifications and safety requirements. Additionally I provide and determine any need for change in carriers, drivers, vehicles, routes, or schedules to increase operating efficiency and improve service. At Barnhart I also examine regulations and shipping documents to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Working under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are varied and complex, adapting procedures, techniques, materials, and/or equipment, appropriately requires me to be efficient and effective. Resolving most questions and problems, is my every day task.
