About David Hoffman

I am Senior Partner in the National Tax Quality Assurance group within Deloitte Tax. Prior to that I spent 25 years in the M&A & Restructuring Services group, where I specialized in delivering tax consultative services relating to mergers and acquisitions, and other significant capital transactions. In addition to my client responsibilities, I spent six years as the US M&A Tax Leader and for eight years I served on the firm’s Tax Executive Committee.My community efforts have included being a member of the boards of the Lawyers’ Committee for Better Housing, the Wilmette Theatre, and The Family Network. I have been a frequent lecturer and instructor on M&A and other corporate tax matters, and an author of materials on debt workouts.I earned my J.D. degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law and my B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond. I am a member of the AICPA and the American and Maryland Bar Associations.
