In my current role I act exclusively for employees. This involves dealing with a wide portfolio of claims across the full spectrum of employment law. This ranges from discrimination, unfair dismissal and contentious TUPE matters often involving multiple claimants. I have a particular interest in disability discrimination issues. My personal and empathetic approach allows me to connect with clients from the outset. I am very results driven in my approach, whether this involves reaching settlement or progressing claims to final hearing. I also provide day-to-day advice to trade union clients on a multitude of issues. This has helped me to develop a strong relationship with trade union representatives, regional officers and secretaries. Prior to joining Thompsons, I developed considerable experience in acting for employer clients. These clients have ranged from charities to large limited companies. This led to be developing a strong client following. Whilst I do not act for employers in my current role, I am able to use this experience for the benefit of my employee clients. Whilst undertaking employer work, I have attracted considerable praise for my commercial and pragmatic approach, helping clients to deliver on results and the outcome they want.
