As the visionary Sporting Director for Surf Niagara, my mission is to build the premier youth soccer development pathway in the Niagara Region — spanning from Buffalo, NY to Hamilton, ON. Surf Niagara will be rooted in elite development, academic support, and college/pro recruitment exposure, leveraging international relationships and top-tier analytics.Key Pillars of the Vision:Player Pathway: Develop a true vertical from grassroots to ECNL, MLS NEXT, and NCAA/Pro via a GAP Year program, high-level showcases, and international competition.Facilities: Secure a 3-field complex including turf (with winter bubble), grass fields, and an indoor MASL-style arena with seating and smart technology.Scouting & Analytics: Use Wyscout, Spiideo, Playermaker, and in-house video analysis to create performance profiles and track player progression.Leadership Structure: Combine roles of Executive Director, Technical Director, and College Coordinator to ensure aligned vision, performance accountability, and financial efficiency.Community & Culture: Position Surf Niagara as a community hub for development, opportunity, and mentorship — where players rise together and earn their next steps.This role builds on my 25 years of NCAA coaching and recruiting experience, my USSF A License, and deep connections across college, pro, and youth platforms.
