Founded by designers and friends David Heaton & Grahame Taylor, NKD is a unique mix of traditional design values, with a sharp, modern edge. Never Know Defeat is both the name of our agency,and a direct translation of the way we work. Every project is different, and so too are our clients. ABOUT DAVID HEATON
I am a highly motivated, dedicated & creative graphic & web designer, with 6 years experience in the industry and a degree in Architecture. I am currently Creative Director & Founder of Bristol based design studio, Never Know Defeat. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in some fantastic teams, including London studios Playfish EA Mobile & Mindshapes, aswell as working as a freelance designer with my own clients around the world. My roles involved working as a senior designer, helping to co-ordinate any additional designers work schedules, creating & branding new IP, working closely with external teams & other departments, whilst maintaining a meticulous eye for detail & standards. In 2012 I returned to my hometown of Bristol, UK to set up my own design studio, NeverKnowDefeat.com. As Co-Founder & Director, I have relished the challenges faced when running your own business. From finding new work, to handling accounts, meeting clients and still producing elegant design work, it has proven to be a wonderful experience, and has helped me progress enormously as a creative.
