Founded in 2015, IDP is a scientific and technical contractor who\'s primary role is the translation of scientific and technical discoveries into marketable products. IDP provides support for projects through the various stages of product realisation form inception, through development to scale-up and production. Support is provided at any stage of a project through consultation, facilitation, regulatory considerations, product design, process development, project planning, project management and, if required, ‘hands-on’ R&D. Where appropriate, IA and IP development and technology transfer will be provided. IDP is an applied multidisciplinary science and technology consultancy happy to consider a broad spectrum of projects and has additional specialist knowledge in controlled release systems, Extended performance anti-microbials and anti-infectives, biodegradable composites and soluble phosphate glasses for application in numerous fields including medical devices and pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, personal care and hygiene, water treatment, micro-nutrients and trace element delivery, aquaculture and agriculture. IDP was set up, in part, to maintain the legacy of unique water soluble glasses, biodegradable composites and polysaccharide technologies and their proprietary manufacturing processes to provide continuity for companies who already use these materials or have been evaluating the technologies with an interest in the development of new applications. IDP also provides feasibility and risk assessment of technical and scientific proposals and project plans as part of stakeholder due diligence. This can include mid-project reviews to assess progress and divergence or just a simple \'sense check\'
