About David Hanke

My passion is to build communities where life-changing transformation can happen. I’m a pastor, leader, and church planter with a deep love for developing people, building diverse communities, and helping others wrestle well with life’s hardest questions. Over the past two decades, I’ve served in university ministry, local parish leadership, and now as the founding rector of a thriving Anglican church in Northern Virginia. My calling is shaped by three core passions: Forming leaders who multiply themselves into others Cultivating multi-ethnic communities centered on the Gospel Shepherding people through heartache and hope with honesty and joy I’ve been shaped by the warmth of Texas, the depth of Boston’s theological community, and the rich heritage of the Anglican tradition. Life feels full—but never boring. I\'m always open for a chat.

   I am the founding pastor. My primary responsibilities include weekly preaching, supervising our staff team, and leading our board of elders. Alongside some incredible people, I hold the vision and plans for what God is doing in and through our church.
