ABOUT DAVID GAULER

I am an associate and senior serious injuries solicitor with over 25 years of legal experience working at Thompsons Solicitors in Birmingham.I specialise in representing those who have suffered life-changing injuries, including severe brain injuries, spinal cord injury and amputations. I pride myself on a client-centred approach. I understands the fears and anxieties of my seriously injured clients and always try to put their needs at the forefront of any decisions I make. I try to deal with their claims with compassion and understanding at all times.Much of my working day involves dealing with the specific needs of my clients in ways that are not always associated with traditional legal work. I devote a lot of time to dealing my clients’ medical problems; liaising with case managers and medical practitioners to arrange treatment and care and attending meetings with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that my client\'s complex needs are met.My ultimate goal in every case is to ensure that my clients obtain compensation sufficient to meet their financial, housing, care and treatment needs for the rest of their livesI am recognised in the Legal500 and Chambers & Partners as both \"a brilliantly technical lawyer, who has an ability to spot angles or points that many others would miss\" and \"very empathetic and keen to get the best result for his clients\".I am also exceptionally proud to work on the organising committee of WEMABIF (West Midlands Acquired Brain Injury Forum). I support also actively support the work of Headway, UKABIF and Silver Lining. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My main passion is body boarding but I also love travelling, reading and walking.
