About David Giffin
I am an attorney based in the Midwest, educated in the South, and with a strong interest in people and communities. My current legal practice is focused primarily on family law and guardianships. In addition to my legal education and current practice, I have a strong academic background in both theological and cultural matters. While in academia, I held a number of teaching and campus life positions, including staff training and supervisory postings. I have also written political and cultural commentary and analysis for a variety of online and print outlets, and made media appearances for various radio outlets discussing current events.

I practice primarily in the areas of family law and guardianships, but assist clients in a range of other general civil and minor criminal matters, as well. Both independently and with the advice and supervision of more senior attorneys, I have represented clients in all stages of litigation, up to and including trials. I represent clients with matters in Champaign County, Coles County, and elsewhere throughout East Central Illinois.
