ABOUT DAVID G.
David has more than 30 years of leadership experience in infrastructure, transport and business change. He has significant experience in governance, strategy and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects in the Highways and High-Speed Rail sectors. His portfolio has also covered corporate development, operational improvement and business transformation; often within a complex stakeholder environment.David’s programme and project experience is extensive and includes responsibility for the infrastructure delivery of a highly complex £2.5bn section of HS2, incorporating two twin bored tunnels and 13 viaducts. David is also known for his work on developing and establishing the concept of Active Traffic Management (Managed Motorways) by delivering the pilot and first three such schemes from inception into operation. Prior to joining HS2, David worked in UK Central Government with roles in Highways England/Agency and the Department for Transport. With an established network within ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems), David maintains strategic relationships across the industry. David is a Chartered Civil Engineer by background.
