ABOUT DAVID FURBER

Thank you for your interest in my profile: I am a messaging specialist and ACORD certified expert with over 30 years’ experience in the London Commercial (re)Insurance market. I have developed a broad base of messaging expertise, both business process and technical, alongside a wealth of successful consultancy, architectural and project management experience. Across all my roles I utilise my innate problem-solving capability which, together with my determination, works well with both business and technical professionals. My recent roles at Sword/Agencyport/Xuber positioned me as the main contact point for market modernisation initiatives, all aspects of ACORD and messaging lead for projects on: • ACORD Placing for use with e-endorsements, DCS, SDC and PPL • ACORD EBOT and ECOT • ECF2 Write Back (including ACORD DRI) • LORS (Lloyd\'s Outward Reinsurance Scheme) • ACORD 4 All (all versions) I engage easily and successfully with stakeholders at all levels of organisations, both internally and externally with customers, suppliers and other market contacts. My background includes a varying mix of messaging, market modernisation consultancy, data migration and project management. My messaging work has ranged from building the core of a messaging system for a major policy administration system, through membership of London and ACORD working groups to working as a technical and business subject matter expert for ACORD implementations. My involvement with process and system changes has encompassed consultancy engagements from the early days of “market reform” to CSRP, plus membership of a variety of market and ACORD working groups. I am currently available for part-time and/or short-term contract/consultancy work which can benefit from my enthusiasm, experience and skills.
