About David Freeman
David Freeman is the General Manager at Equinox Columbus Circle, responsible for leading one of the company’s flagship locations. He oversees daily operations, drives business growth, and manages large teams while maintaining Equinox’s standards of service and performance.Originally from Southern California, David began his career in music as a classically trained tuba player. He moved to New York in 2014 to pursue studies at The Juilliard School, where he earned both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees.While completing his graduate studies, David interned at The Metropolitan Opera, working for General Manager Peter Gelb. That experience introduced him to the business side of the arts and opened the door to administrative roles at Juilliard and beyond. His transition from the performing arts to business management eventually led him to Equinox, where he applies the same discipline and focus that defined his music training to leadership and operations.Although he is no longer performing regularly, David remains closely connected to the classical music world. He is an avid opera-goer and a proud patron of the Wagner Society of New York and the Gesellschaft der Freunde von Bayreuth.
