ABOUT DAVID FOOT

As Director of Operations for both Four Points by Sheraton and Hampton Inn by Hilton in Kelowna, I bring over 30 years of global hospitality experience to the table, with a sharp focus on elevating guest experiences through food & beverage innovation, operational excellence, and strong team leadership. Currently, I oversee all aspects of hotel operations with a hands-on approach to service standards, team development, and cross-functional coordination. I am especially passionate about creating meaningful F&B programs, streamlining processes, and driving a culture of accountability and pride in service delivery. Prior to this role, I led the opening of a fine dining Japanese restaurant on the 90th floor of the Luminary Tower in Jakarta, working alongside a two-star Michelin chef. That project included hiring and mentoring an international team of 25, launching a curated sake and wine program with an in-house sommelier, and designing a sustainable bar concept in a highly complex, high-altitude environment. Previously, I served as Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef with Marriott for four years, managing restaurant operations, banqueting, in-room dining, summer resort pool bars, and retail outlets. I hold a Red Seal Cook Certification from Vancouver Island University and am a proud graduate of Marriott’s Emerging Leadership Program, which recognizes and prepares high-potential leaders. My passion remains rooted in hospitality—whether it’s developing strong service culture, building high-performing teams, or creating unforgettable dining experiences that resonate with our guests and communities.
