Responsibilities include the strategic architecture, design, engineering, capacity planning, implementation, management, and last tier operational support for Motorola’s global data communications and telecommunications networks supporting 500 offices. Responsible for strategic vendor selection, contract negotiation, and project management of associated network implementations. Provide support to Hosting, Applications, and End User Computing peers as required for timely execution of strategic initiatives. Manage a 24-person Motorola team and 15-person extended strategic vendor team of designers / project managers directly responsible for data communications and telecommunications networks services. Responsible for departmental budgeting and resource planning, and performance appraisals, salary reviews, and career development for direct reports. Responsible for $120M budget.
