About David Felipe
I come from a long line of resilient Indigenous farmworkers, blue-collar workers, and land protectors. 🪶Today, I am a first-generation Mexican/Zapotec student at Brown University. As an ode to my experience coming from a mixed-status native family, I am pursuing a B.A. in International and Public Affairs (focusing on immigration, education, and social class) and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies (with a focus on Indigenous Oaxaca) on a pre-law track. As a student hailing from South Central Los Angeles, I have an intimate relationship with poverty and environmental racism. I am on a dedicated journey to expand legal resources, increase higher education access, and provide immigration services to my community. Through my studies and work, I hope to further my advocacy and continue representing the people of Oaxaca, Mexíco, and Paisanos everywhere. Feel free to contact me via LinkedIn!
