Assists with developing procedures for planning, evaluating, and analyzing solution area recommendations regarding the utilization of regional resources and related issues.Maintains and updates mission-critical data effectively addressing concerns for Homeland Security. Develops programs to fulfill federal and state grant requirements.Utilizes the local Homeland Security Assessment and Strategy results and the Statewide Homeland Security Strategy to substantiate recommendations for solution area initiatives.Acts as liaison with county and local personnel regarding programs related to the Homeland Security Strategy.Coordinates and participates in Grant Allocation Committee meetings.Utilizes current Countywide and/or department-specific software to complete assignments.Assists in creating and maintaining emergency planning documents such as the emergency management plan, support plans, and standard operating procedures (SOP).Assists with, attends, and participates in public meetings with elected officials and emergency response officials to analyze and/or explain implications of solution area programs and proposals.Assists communities in developing emergency operations plans.
