   Perform engineering tasks associated with the construction, operation, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution systems and other duties as required-Design and develop new business and capital improvement projects, including cost estimate, material procurement, scheduling, construction liaison, and overall project management services to ensure standard-compliant, cost-effective systems-Support District Operations in the efficient and safe operation of the distribution system during both normal and emergency conditions-Act as engineering liaison with customers requesting new or upgraded service, analyze customer needs and distribution system capabilities, and develop cost-effective plans to serve the load that satisfy both the needs of the customer and the company-Prepare and dispatch switching orders when acting as Control Authority during on-call emergencies and major events (hurricanes, ice storms, etc)-Assist planning engineers in monitoring feeder loads, voltage, reliability, capacity availability, and related feeder management activities, as well as, recommend, justify, and implement plans that optimize the utilization of existing facilities-Utilize knowledge and experience of electrical distribution systems to identify the root cause of and to solve customer reliability and power quality problems-Provide technical and analytical support for other engineering and operating departments.
