Functions as the Emergency Management Specialist at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Leads and assists the laboratory organizations to develop, coordinate, and maintain programs that support routine and emergency operations at Fermilab. Develops, implements, maintains, trains, and evaluates the emergency management program, environmental safety, and health programs to maintain a safe a healthy environment in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations, requirements and standards, and all Department of Energy (DOE) orders. Responsible for preparing, reviewing, approving, maintaining and documenting Emergency Response Organization (ERO) procedures. Supports activities through coordination and support of ERO self assessments/audits/inspections, assisting organizations and departments with their emergency and mitigation plans, assisting in the Laboratory\'s Continuity of Operation Planning (COOP), EP training, off-site interfaces with local emergency planning organizations, and other associated activities. Coordinates and ensures that all first responders receive National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) training; coordinate training programs and Emergency Operation Center (EOC) drills to prepare Fermilab senior management staff to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies. Coordinates implementation of the United/Incident Command System within the laboratory, identify systems and operational problems and recommend solutions.
