ABOUT DAVID EPSTEIN
David is Director of Human Resources & Talent Strategy for Mobilization for Justice based in NY City. David was awarded the National Disability Inclusion Award in 2021 by the National Diversity Council. Prior to working at Mobilization for Justice, David worked in the U.S. office of Doctors Without Borders/MSF-USA, an international, humanitarian, medical organization that works in more than 70 countries. He served as a member of the management team, and worked on strategic human resources issues ranging from diversity and talent management to expatriate benefits and wellness initiatives. He also served as the organization’s U.S. subject matter expert and risk management specialist. Prior to joining Doctors Without Borders/MSF-USA, David was Director of Human Resources at the New York Foundling Hospital Center for Pediatric, Medical and Rehabilitative Care, Inc.(Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center) for 10 years, where he received the NYAHSA (now LeadingAge New York) Professional of the Year Award for his contributions to pediatric long-term care. David is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional and holds a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, a Master of Administrative Science and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Farleigh Dickinson University. He is also a Certified Workplace Mediator, practitioner member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, and an Executive Scholar at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. David has published articles in Nursing Management, Public Personnel Management, and HR Magazine. He also holds an LLM in Employment Law from the University of Central Lancashire (UK), Lancashire Law School, taught human resources courses for eCornell, and served as Adjunct Faculty at New England College teaching long term care administration. He has more than 20 years of human resources experience.
