About David Elwood
I\'m a naval architect and marine engineer by training who has spent the last decade as a hydro-mechanical engineer. I\'ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including conventional hydroelectric turbines, reversible pump-turbines, conduit micro-hydroelectric turbines, low head hydroelectric projects on irrigation systems, hydrokinetic (or zero head) turbines, and wave energy conversion systems. I\'ve also managed complex capital projects with annual budgets of up to $20M. I\'m a licensed professional engineer in the state of Washington.In my \"spare time\" I like to envisioneer and come up with ways to better utilize variable renewable energy using inovative and sustainable storage technologies.
