University of Baltimore is a small public institution that is part of the University System of Maryland. I\'m responsible for employee relations work at the University. My responsibilities generally break down into investigations, policy, advising and training.Investigations: I am responsible for all Sexual Misconduct (Title IX) and Discrimination/Harassment (Title VII+) complaints where an employee is named as a respondent. I\'m also responsible for investigating claims of general misconduct.Policy: Responsible for crafting and updating workplace policy and procedure, and serving as an advisor to various committees responsible for policy areas.Advising: I serve as an advisor for employees and supervisors on matters of employment. This includes offering general guidance, working through disciplinary matters, performance management and workplace accommodations. Training: I work in cooperation with the training and development director to assist with training or provide input into it. This is not a significant part of my role, but its an opportunity to make an impact.
