About David Durant

With over 40 years of experience in the verical transportation industry, I am a seasoned and certified manager who oversees the safety inspections and testing of all elevators and escalators in the Northeast Corridor and throughout the country. I work for Amtrak, the nation\'s largest passenger railroad service, where I ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency for millions of customers and employees every year. I have a QEI certification from NAESA International, and a proven track record of managing multiple projects and teams across various locations. I started my career as a construction mechanic at Otis Elevator Company, where I progressed to a service/maintenance tech and field superintendent. I joined Schindler Elevator Corporation as a field superintendent, where I enhanced my skills in management, customer satisfaction, training, and verical transportation systems. I am passionate about learning and growing in this field, and always looking for new challenges and opportunities.
