Master Mariner with18 years service on bulk carriers, car carriers, timber vessels, general cargo, reefer vessels and LPG carriers. 21 years experience working in Middle East on LPG & Petroleum loadings, Chemical Tankers {Jubail Port-SA, Bahrain, Qatar} P+I surveys Manager in Jeddah. Now working in UK on P+I / Legal expert services carrying out surveys and expert witness in Public Enquiries, Crown Court and Arbitration Tribunals. I managed the clean up of shoreline from the Napoli Grounding, liaising with UKCG-Police-Politicians-Councils-Gen Public etc, along with the sorting, cleaning and disposal of recovered containers and their contents mainly to waste facilities. I am an approved AQIS surveyor. Attended M.V. Rena grounding in New Zealand to assist set up of the Braemar Group response for Owners P+I lost and beached cargo recovery and distressed cargo treatment ashore with Salvors, Customs and local authorities and indigenous organisations.Specialties: Bulk Carriers, Chemical/Product Tanker cargo issues including over/under pressurisation tank collapse, Reefer Cargoes, Cargo surveys - preload - discharge and damages, Ice damages to vessels / propellers.
