About David Dimaria

I’m starting a new phase in my career and have joined the Barich team. I am excited about putting all the years of experience to help other airports and those in the aviation industry.I was with the Wayne County Airport Authority for over 30 years and in that time I\'ve had the privilege of serving and many roles. Starting out in an entry level position in airfield operations, I\'ve went full circle back at Ops as the director.Through the years I progressed through airport security, taking part in the implementation of the airport\'s access control, security control and credential systems. I was eventually tapped on the shoulder to launch an emergency management program for Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports including grant writing and exercise development.In an effort to expand executive experience I did a job swap with and managed Willow Run Airport. I eventually returned to emergency management with the added responsibility of integrating and then managing a new combined dispatch center.I have been involved in many projects throughout the years including event planning for the annual airshow, rehab and then replacement of the mobile command post and respond to multiple incidents.I\'ve enjoyed my varied roles and continue to learn and grow in my field. I hope to stay active in volunteering in Emergency Management giving back to the communities that help me out over the years.
