Connected Nation is a non-profit organization that develops and provides the tools, resources, and methods that help states and communities create and implement broadband solutions by assessing and planning for the expansion of broadband and developing public-private partnerships to bring technology access to targeted geographies and population.* Developed relationships with providers, communities and state of Iowa including Governor’s office, and Office of Chief Information Officer.* Past member of Iowa’s STEM Advisory Council Broadband Committee charged by then Governor Branstad to create a broadband expansion plan for the state.* Managed and coordinated the activities of 25 Iowa communities developing broadband plans and action items through community and team meetings. Identified, enlisted, trained and mentored community champions to lead broadband assessment process.* Handled media inquires from radio, TV, newspaper and magazine, local and national, that included US News and World Report, RFD TV and Des Moines Register.* Conducted mobile broadband drive testing in the states of Washington, Ohio and Kansas.* E-rate project work.
