Since 2005, Total Insurance has been advising employers both large and small on how to effectively manage their insurance costs while still delivering excellent benefits and superior risk management. Since starting specifically on the Employee Benefits Side we have branched out to indiidual lines of coverage driven mainly by Healthcare Reform. I have 23 years of experience in the insurarnce indistry mostly as an independent agent and all in the RTP area. But just because someone has 23 years eperience doesn\'t mean that they have 23 years experience doing things in an innovative and out of the box way. Among the thngs we were doing when no one else was doing them are:HRA\'s: We were doing them for our employer groups before anyone was. Now they are main stream.HSA as a viable option: Moved a medium sized Technology company to a Total HSA replacement. Employeese hated it for one year, Now you can\'t get them to give it up.Insured Supplemental hospitalization Coverage: Comprehensive supplemental coverage that involved the \"divide & conquer\"​ risk management strategy. Results? Overall better benefits, lower out of pocket costs to employee & employer and higher satisfaction.Next steps for 2015 and beyond? ACA exempt group plans, a new wrinkle on HRA\'s that very little people know about, a co branded employer portal (which we made available since 2013) and more services provided to individuals and their families.Change requires throughtful strategic moves. Don\'t get left behind. It can be very expensive!
