About David Childers
With over seven years of experience as a reservoir engineer, 16 years overall midstream operations experience, and a PhD in petroleum engineering, I am passionate about providing innovative and sustainable solutions for the energy industry. I currently work as a reservoir engineer at Lagoon Water Midstream, where I have overseen the design, construction, and optimization of pipeline gathering systems and supported injection system operations for water management and hydrocarbon production. Basins of experience are as follows: Anadarko, Bakken, Delaware, Fayetteville, Permian, Arkoma, Barnett, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, and Powder River.I am also a co-founder of Wu & Childers Energy Solutions LLC, a consulting firm that offers state-of-the-art engineering services and training to clients in developing and operating their assets. I specialize in subsurface engineering and characterization, multi-scale flow modeling and simulation, fracture diagnostic analysis for SWD operations, and hydrocarbon phase behavior analysis. Additionally, I teach at the University of Oklahoma as an adjunct professor, sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of engineers.

Lead technical groups to determine remaining oil and gas well locations (\"inventory\") within designated areas. • Utilize classical reservoir techniques leveraging reservoir, production, and well test theory to evaluate the production and injection potential of various reservoir in multiple basins in the lower forty-eight.• Conduct comprehensive economic evaluations to estimate the viability of remaining well locations.• Developed oil, gas, and water type curves with a focus on producing accurate water volume forecasts by well and field, using data analytics and ML/AI algorithms.• Manage and coordinate external technical resources, including geologists, reservoir engineers, and consultants.• Engage with customers and State regulatory agencies to understand challenges and operational constraints.• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.Achievements: • Co-developed Superposition Pore Pressure Model (SPPM) pressure visualization and injection capacity estimation tool through Python code and the utilization Enverus Prism data. SPPM Capabilities: Estimate the average reservoir pressure by a time. Estimate the volumetric capacity for saltwater disposal per geomechanical properties or State regulatory constraints. Visualize the pressure distribution by a time.
