About David Cabrera
I am a first-generation bilingual new graduate RN with my BSN from CSU Chico’s School of Nursing. My passion for critical care was inspired by my brother\'s experience with cancer, where I witnessed the profound impact of compassionate nursing. I have gained valuable clinical experience in the NTICU, CVICU, and ICU. I completed an senior preceptorship where I developed strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care. I also have a background in healthcare working as a CNA for almost a year and CPT-1 for over 2 years. My involvement in serving as a diabetes educator for the developmentally disabled population in Chico, CA has further deepened my understanding of inclusive care practices. Along with community experiences, I was a club officer for the Chico State Pre-Nursing Club where I held monthly meetings for pre-nursing students at CSU Chico and built a supportive community. Overall, I am confident that my diverse experiences and skills will contribute to my success in a nurse residency program where I can provide compassionate and competent patient-centered care for people from all walks of life.
