Approaching lighting and design is not merely as a technical discipline, but as a profound medium to direct and shape desire, realized on a visceral and emotional level. My work has been defined by a persistent drive for innovation, a commitment to crafting truly unique, tailored solutions, and the strong belief that true design excellence means \"never repeating your previous successes.\"I thrive in environments where creativity meets meticulous execution, constantly pushing boundaries to make the \'impossible possible.\' The core of my belief is a process that embraces alliance and interaction, valuing the intricate interpretation and ideation of design vision, alongside the expertise of other designer (internal and external to the studio), representatives, and manufacturers. I see these partners as integral in co-creating the complex, customized solutions that elevate a project from inspiration to a stunning reality.The best ideas can come from anywhere or anyone. My most rewarding experiences stem from group experimentation in light with fellow friends and designers in the studio, where every voice contributes to a shared vision, regardless of hierarchy. This non-hierarchical approach to ideation is a commitment to fostering contributions from diverse, independent experiences, ensuring design integrity remains paramount. Always consider ‘why’ you are designing and the path will reveal itself.A core tenet of my philosophy is that one must always be the student, even while mentoring others. If you think you have it all figured out, you\'re wrong, the dynamic nature of light and technology demands perpetual curiosity and a humble readiness to learn. This dedication to the purity of the design process and intent allows for an authentic exploration of light\'s potential to shape and evoke emotion, and seamlessly integrate with the client and architectural intent.Having navigated the evolving landscape of our industry for nearly three decades, I bring a comprehensive understanding of both its artistically sensual demands and operational intricacies. I am passionate about contributing to a culture that fosters continuous learning, values ethical practice, and empowers designers to lead with vision and purpose. My aim is to contribute to projects that inspire, challenge, and leave a lasting, meaningful legacy.Our deliverable is not light or lighting design; it is the attainment of the vision and the surpassing of desire.
