Working at all scales and phases, his design sensibility is deliberate, thought provoking and creative. Recent projects as founder of David Burke Architects include the New Paltz Mixed-Use Housing Development, The Cornerstone Residence, Vassar College Thompson Library Visioning Study and the historic Ritz Theater renovation in Newburgh, NY. Prior to founding DBA, David managed and delivered several highly complex projects as Principal at Grimshaw Architects. These include Arizona State University’s Rob and Melani Walton Center for Planetary Health, the Herbert Wertheim Laboratory for Engineering Excellence and the Duke University Brodhead Center for Campus Life. He also worked directly with several New York City agencies over the course of 15 years to deliver the Above Ground Buildings at the Croton Water Filtration Plant in Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx NY.
