Senior Training Engineer for the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Project Management Knowledge (PMK) group at Hawaiian Electric. The EPMO for HECO is a new department created to coordinate all PMOs in the company, set project management standards, operate the project management information system, provide pm consulting services, manage key projects, provide PM training and perform portfolio management. As Sr. Training Engineer, Mr. Brauer is responsible for designing, developing, managing and executing the project management training program of the EPMO. He designs the curriculum, develops learning objectives, creates training materials, defines metrics/measurements, and delivers PM training. The EPMO project management curriculum consists of 45 classes in three tracks: 1) project managers, 2) management and 3) non-project managers. The long term goal of the training program is to create a significant cadre of project management professionals within HECO and to propagate project management competencies throughout the company.
