As Senior Quantity Surveyor I am responsible for the preparation of Capital Expenditure budgets for multiple fascias within the JD Group. I liaise with departments within the JD Property Team which include Design, Retail, Acquisitions, Multi-Channel, IT operations and Profit Protection to ensure the Main Contractor works along with Mechanical and Electrical are all accounted for to ensure a smooth transition at delivery stage. Throughout the delivery stage I assist the Project team with cost management and assessment of contract works, including variations, re-measurement and final account settlements. As well as working on the JD Sports roll out, I have been SQS on bespoke projects for other fascia’s such as Size, The HipStore and Wellgosh. Which had a high degree of construction details and unique store elements. I had to carry out Value Engineering exercises to ensure the clients brief was met in line with the business budgets.
