As Manager of ERCOT Transmission System Operations for Texas-New Mexico Power I take pride in working to improve the processes and technologies for our desk in today’s dynamic environment. I work with a team of professionals who are responsible for the reliable operation of the TNMP Bulk Electric System and have the operating tools, processes, and procedures, including the authority to prevent or mitigate emergency operating situations in both next day and real time operations. I supervise and perform all administrative functions for the Transmission System Operators and the Outage Coordination process including communication and coordination with TNMP construction crews and interconnected electric utilities always considering safety and maintaining safe system operating limits along with considering economical operation of the electric transmission system. Represent TNMP with other utilities within ERCOT and serve on various committees in the ERCOT structure providing leadership and input for processes. Create, review, and modify internal and external contracts, procedures, guidelines, and directives to ensure proper methods are followed resulting in a safe and reliable electric grid. Accountable for compliance as a SME with applicable NERC Reliability Standards.
