About David Bixler

Following 13 years in restaurant management, I returned to school and began my geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing career in Prior to re-joining S & ME in 2020, I was employed in the geotechnical engineering field and construction materials testing in various positions including senior engineer, staff engineer and project manager. Geotechnical engineering experience includes shallow and deep foundation evaluations and recommendations, slope stability and seepage studies and analysis, subsurface explorations, geophysical surveys, Seismic Site Class determination, earth retaining structures, lime and cement soil stabilization, forensic evaluations and providing recommendations for temporary and permanent site dewatering. In addition, I\'ve performed and supervised engineering, special inspection and testing services related to soil, stone, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, and asphalt and performed and supervised field investigations, including drilled shaft inspections, driven pile observations, rock and soil drilling and sampling, groundwater observation well installation and geophysical surveys.
