Sustainability is a data challengeWith regulations such as CSRD and the EU Taxonomy, many companies are currently focused on establishing the capabilities required for reliable ESG reporting. In practice, this often means building the necessary foundations: identifying relevant data, establishing governance structures and connecting sustainability with existing IT and data landscapes.This is where my work focuses.I operate at the intersection of sustainability, ESG regulation and data, supporting organizations in translating regulatory requirements into practical, scalable data structures and processes.The goal is twofold: enabling efficient ESG reporting today while building the data foundations that allow companies to manage and steer sustainability performance over time.My work typically includes:+ ESG Reporting & Regulation - implementing data structures and processes to support reporting aligned with ESRS and EU Taxonomy+ Sustainability Data Foundations - establishing the data management, governance and system integration required for reliable ESG data+ Data & AI for Sustainability - exploring how analytics, automation and scenario modelling can support sustainability planning and Net Zero pathwaysWith a background in Industrial Engineering and Sustainability, and experience in both software implementation consulting and sustainability advisory, I work at the interface of strategy, regulation, technology and implementation.In many organizations, ESG reporting is the starting point. Over time, however, the real opportunity lies in turning sustainability data into a management capability: enabling better decisions, improved performance tracking and more effective transformation towards Net Zero.This shift from reporting to sustainability intelligence will be a defining step in how companies manage sustainability in the coming years.
