As a Deal Manager for State and Local government, I use my expertise in Microsoft\'s volume license offerings and Government contracting to help both Microsoft and our customers achieve their respective goals. This often involves direct negotiation with government customers to deliver non-programmatic licensing solutions that are in alignment with the regulatory and budgetary environment unique to our government customers.One of the key areas affecting government customers today is how to achieve the primary goal of their given mission of serving their constituents while at the same time driving down cost and complexity. For many of our customers this has involved a move to Microsoft cloud services including Office 365 for productivity and collaboration, and Microsoft Azure for secure compute platform, infrastructure and storage solutions. As a Licensing Executive, I play a critical role in helping customers to make this transition while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements- Expertise in Microsoft Licensing including on premise and cloud offerings- Negotiation of umbrella terms and conditions that can be leveraged across entire states- Helping Governments deliver enhanced services, reduce complexity and lower cost
