Participates in and approves the hiring of experts. Manages remotely a network of vendor fire investigators whom investigate the origin and cause of fires. Responsible for assigning both internal and external fire referrals. Reviews and assesses the competency of the vendors technical skills, providing real-time feedback to that investigator or their management team. Conducts technical review of investigators entire submitted work product and approves invoices for payment. Conducts administrative review for compliance to current Travelers standards and requirements. Coaches for quality, process improvement and identify potential vendor partners training needs. Analyzes statistical information while searching for trends and seeking out training opportunities for the program, then effectively communicating and delivering training as appropriate. Provides exceptional customer service by maintaining contact with business partners and customers throughout the life of each investigation. Assists legal counsel for litigation management, including development of legal strategies and preparing experts to testify. Testifies to findings in court as appropriate. Establishes and maintains an active listing of qualified and contracted independent fire investigators for use as the need arises.
