About David Bajula
Started my NDT career by attending 2-year associates degree NDT program at Hutchinson Vo-Tech in Minnesota. Spent the past 40+ years working in Nuclear Power, Aerospace and Petrochemical and Refining industries working with companies like Magnaflux, General Electric, Combustion Engineering and retired from Acuren after 23 years; as outgoing General Manager of Adv. NDT Services. Currently working with PROtect, a progressive and innovative company as their VP of NDE Solutions & Innovations. Registered as a Chartered Engineer by the Engineering Council in London through BINDT. An ASNT/ACCP Level in UT, ET, RT, MT, PT, IR, LT, ML, AE and VT and awarded and ASNT Fellow in 2005. Have been a CWI for over 25 years and now an API-QUPA (Phased Array), QUPASE (Sizing) & API-510 certificate holder. One of few with an ASME ANDE Level in Ultrasonic method and I carry EPRI performance demonstration qualifications in Ultrasonic Phased Array examinations in Girth & Longseam welds and Boiler Tubes. Very active in ASNT, ASME and API committees and passionate about Advanced NDT services and considered a specialist in all areas of conventional & Advanced NDT. Was President & Chairman of the Board (COB) for ASNT (2016/2018) and awarded recognition honors by Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner for outstanding contributions to industry in Nondestructive Testing. Specialties: Advanced NDT - all methods with focus on electromagnetics and ultrasonic and a complete solution provider in any capacity involving NDT. Am considered a best in class Subject Matter Expert (SME) and an expert witness for legal cases on numerous occasions.
