About David Arguez
My extensive background in aerospace/mechanical engineering, as well as experience working for an airline, original equipment manufacturers, and PMA and MRO facilities, enables me to provide unique solutions for our customers, specially since I am an FAA-DER with the authority to approve Repair Specifications, Major Repairs and Alterations in addition to PMA packages. During my career, I have developed and approved more than major FAA-DER repairs and repair fabrications to restore hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and structural components back to serviceable condition. I have also developed and approved countless PMA packages. At Avenir Aviation, we have developed a multitude of FAA-DER approved repairs to repair and refabricate components and piece parts alike for the purpose of reducing the overall cost of material of end units making the overall repair very affordable to operators. These repairs and repair specifications have been developed for thrust reversers including their actuation system, inlet cowls, nozzles, tail cones, flight controls, radomes, mechanical accessories, harnesses, floors and sidewall panels, and others.

My responsibilities include overseeing the engineering department to ensure all internally FAA-DER approved repairs, repair specifications, and repair fabrications are technically accurate and sufficiently substantiated in order to meet all applicable airworthiness standards. Further, I am responsible for ensuring that all in-house designed test equipment and fixtures are properly designed and manufactured to meet their intended function. I also work very closely with the sales department to be informed about our customer\'s needs in an effort to provide engineering solutions that can lower their material cost, improve component reliability, and provide alternate solutions for parts and components that are no longer available in the marketplace.
