The President of the Co-op City Police Benevolent Association (PBA) serves as the chief representative and advocate for union members, ensuring their rights, well-being, and professional needs are prioritized. This leadership role involves negotiating contracts, addressing grievances, and overseeing union operations with a focus on transparency, communication, and strategic planning.Key responsibilities include:Representing members in collective bargaining and workplace disputes.Advocating for fair wages, improved working conditions, and officer retention.Facilitating quarterly meetings with management to address staffing, training, and operational issues.Managing union finances and ensuring resources are allocated effectively.Engaging with members to foster unity and address their concerns.Collaborating with Riverbay Corporation and community stakeholders to advance public safety initiatives.As President, I will lead the PBA Executive Board, delegate responsibilities, and implement strategies to achieve union goals while maintaining open communication with members. This role is critical to safeguarding officers\' rights, enhancing their professional development, and strengthening the Co-op City Police Department\'s relationship with the community.
