About David Almonte

David Almonte, an Eagle Scout, is a Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager with Amica Mutual Insurance Company, where he oversees the Accounting Department’s Business Intelligence function and serves as a strategic leader across enterprise modernization initiatives.Nationally, David was recently elected to serve a three-year term as part of the AICPA\'s National Governing Council. Previously, he spent six-years as a member of the AICPA’s National CPA Financial Literacy Commission and was a former member of the AICPA\'s Not-for-Profit/Governmental Training Program Conference Planning Committee. Further, David is a 2014 graduate of the national AICPA Leadership Academy. Locally, David was appointed and later reappointed by Governor McKee to serve a five-year term on the RIHEBC board of directors, where he currently serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Compensation subcommittees. David is a 2012 graduate of the Greensboro, NC Police Citizen\'s Academy, 2015 graduate of the RI State Police Citizen’s Academy, and a 2023 graduate of the FBI Citizen\'s Academy.In early 2017, David helped co-found a nonprofit, FountainHead RI (FHRI), with the goal of bringing together business and community leaders who share a similar passion, vision, and ambition for moving local and global communities forward, starting with those in his home state of RI. FHRI accomplishes its goal by hosting education panel events that encompass informal networking as well as by conducting live community spotlights with top leaders around the country. FHRI has grown into a community of 1,500+ leaders from across the country.David received a M.S. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Colorado Boulder, a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University, and an Associates Degree in Accounting from CCRI.
