David Smith has over twenty five years’ experience in the commercial engineering design & construction marketplace in the Midwestern United States, designing, cost estimating, negotiating/selling, and managing projects ranging in scope from small energy-upgrade retrofits in existing facilities to new multi-million dollar hospitals and research facilities. David holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana / Champaign, graduated Magna cum laude and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois. David passed the ASHRAE CPMP in 2014, and passed the LEED AP, BD+C exam in 2011. David has designed, estimated, sold, project-managed, and commissioned several design / build and conventional construction projects.
