ABOUT DAVID A. GALLEGOS
I am the Director of Analytical Labs at Canyon Labs. I have over a decade of experience working with analytical instrumentation in pharmaceuticals both in industry and academia. I have performed essential work on pharmaceutical extractable/leachable projects for multiple ANDA applications and CRL responses for regulatory authorities. My expertise includes unknown compound identification using LCMS, GCMS, and NMR instrumentation as well as method development and validation for extractable/leachable projects. My doctoral studies at Oregon State University focused on identification of novel active pharmaceutical compounds from natural sources such as marine invertebrates and bacteria. I completed my post-doctoral research at the University of Utah working on the heterologous expression of antibiotic compounds from bacteria in the Great Salt Lake in Streptomyces and E. coli.
