Working on designing & building out a self-service Data Platform to help engineers, data scientists and data analysts gain accurate, reliable data in a timely manner. To help Data Scientists get quicker insight into data, I lead a team on designing & building a self-service, event-based ML-platform, leveraging GCP (Dataflow, PubSub, BigQuery) and AWS (Kinesis, MSK) technologies. This reduced the time to action helps Trustpilot take action against scam/spam/fraudulent reviews on the platform in a realtime manner. Driving event-streaming adoption to ensure faster insights into the company\'s data as well as working with other engineering teams to migrate data pipelines from a self-managed Kafka cluster, to a managed Kafka offering (MSK), whilst also setting up additional Kafka-related infrastructure (KSQLDB, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, etc.)Working with other Staff and Principal engineers to ensure common approaches are taken with regard to tech-stacks, architectures and software engineering best practices.Additionally, I setup and participated in an Engineering mentoring program to help Engineers with career progression and provide guidance through relatable experiences.
