I am responsible for planning and managing a portfolio of impactful programmes across Africa and Latin America using sport as a development tool for social change. I provide high-level programme support, financial oversight, monitoring and evaluation technical expertise and capacity-building support to our global implementing partners, striving to ensure Sport for Good can develop as a sector and continue to bring about sustainable, powerful change.Key responsibilities include- Leading on the Sport for Education and Sustainable Livelihoods in Africa \'SESLA\' programme, where Laureus has partnered in a ground-breaking collaboration with a range of international institutional partners. I am managing a budget of as I lead on three simultaneous funding opportunities- Cultivating a dynamic peer-to-peer learning network and driving the development of a curriculum designed to foster the advance youth education and employability across the African continent- Leading large-scale grant application processes, overseeing the selection process of 20 NGOs from 200 applications with grants of over awarded to partners in the UK, mainland Europe and Canada- Ensuring grant compliance of Laureus projects funded by Sport for Good and by external (institutional, trusts and foundations) donors, including reporting requirements- Supporting the organisational development Laureus-funded partners through the delivery of high-level quality capacity building, including safeguarding process assessment and process improvement- Leading and facilitating learning networks in order to complement my role in providing expert support to grantees on a range of specialist areas
