About Davey Edwards

I am the Survey Technical Director at Dunaway. With over 25 years of experience in the field, I hold a PhD in Geosciences and professional licenses in Texas and Oklahoma as a land surveyor. My mission is to provide a highly specialized service in the analysis of original land grant and ambiguous border treaty issues, using my expertise in riparian and littoral boundaries, cartographic interpretation, and exhibit creation. I consult for boundary litigation, support mediation and arbitration, advise private and public entities, and testify as an expert witness in matters related to boundary determination. I have worked on the reconstruction of obliterated land grants with little to no original monumentation and even sparsely detailed notes, and I have earned a reputation that is sought by legal counsel and governmental officials when issues arise. Additionally, I assist with designing and managing strategic programs to explore new geospatial technologies focused on meeting the evolving need within the surveying branch as well as promoting the company brand to build clientele base and project diversity by leading research and development in geospatial technology and its workflow development. I am also a speaker providing presentations on all aspects of surveying and leadership throughout the United States and other countries around the world. I am the immediate past-President of the National Society of Professional Surveyors, and an Emeritus member of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. I am the former director of the Texas Spatial Reference Center and Texas Geodetic Coordinator for the National Geodetic Survey. I\'m a past president and board of directors member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors. I have taught surveying at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and New Mexico State University.
