Former Navy Captain with 20+ years executive leadership experience in development, management, and decentralized operation of global and regional IT infrastructure and Enterprise Shared Services, Lean and Agile software Development, Security, and Operations, and transition of material solutions to operational capabilities. As The MITRE Corporation\'s Naval C4I Portfolio Manager, I provide strategic planning, work shaping, and manage execution of 13 MITRE Projects and 75 staff-years of effort for Navy acquisition, engineering, readiness, and Fleet commands. The portfolio executes projects for Resilient Command and Control and Battle Space Awareness for the Naval Operational Architecture, with a focus on modern software development practices and data analytics. In this role I provide trusted adviser consulting and Systems Engineering services to senior officials and military officers throughout the Navy and actively shape MITRE roles, activities, and deliverables to combine independent and discrete outcomes for many sponsors into larger, strategic level outcomes focused on Fleet imperatives. The result multiplies MITRE’s value by enabling coordinated outcomes across multiple Program Offices and Fleet Commands that deliver new operational capabilities for cyber maneuver and resilience, situational awareness, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and Command and Control. Prior to MITRE, my Navy career was focused on leading IT organizations and managing IT services for the Navy. I have managed satellite and terrestrial IT infrastructure from the National level to Carrier Strike groups at sea. I directed operations of the Navy and Marine Corps Intranet, the world\'s largest enterprise cloud-based IT service with over users and led several multi-disciplined cross functional and cross organizational teams in transitioning that network from contractor owned and operated to full government control in order to align with Navy strategic priorities. These accomplishments and others outlined below highlight a career of increasing responsibility and strategic leadership in IT Service Management, communications planning and service operation, secure network design, Information System Security, and full lifecycle project management.
