GB

During my 23 years of Construction Industry experience, as a Design Engineer, Bid Manager, in Business Development, Specification Sales, and now Product Management, I’ve always been involved in building drainage, be it Storm Water or Waste Water, Residential or Commercial, Syphonic or Channel, but for the last ten years my focus has been on Package Pumping Stations Grease/Oil Separation Systems, Internal Flood Protection Systems, and the supply of KESSEL products to the UK Waste Water Management and Construction sector. As the KESSEL National Product Manager for IPS Flow Systems, my mission is predominantly to develop sales and co-ordinate project based specification of KESSEL Grease Separation Systems, Pump Stations and Backwater Protection/DG5 Solutions. To provide a cost effective service to the industry from beginning to end and beyond, whether it’s using KESSEL EasyClean Fully Automated PVS Separators, the Aqualift range of compact lifting and pumping stations, the time served Staufix NRV, the Pumpfix F Komfort, or the all new KESSEL Hybrid Drainage Systems and Chambers. Delivered with an emphasis on the provision of design guidance, training on Installation, repair and maintenance, reliable supply, and continuous technical support through close communication with our colleges in Bavaria. My aim is to provide economical, reliable solutions, product, knowledge, and support to: • UK & Ireland Consultant and Architect network • Civil, Drainage and Design Engineers – Consultants - Architects • Main Contractors – Subcontractors – Ground Worker - Plumbers • UK Water Companies – Waste Water Asset Management teams - Reactive Repair Departments - Flood Mitigation Providers - Repair and Maintenance Crews. In addition to the KESSEL Hybrid Drainage and Backwater Protection Products, my remit also extends to KESSEL Package Pumping Stations, De-Centralised Water Treatment Units and the full range of Floor, Roof, and Shower Drains.

ABOUT DAVE WHALLEY

Through my career path and skill set, I’ve become a highly experienced in Specification Sales and Drainage Engineer, with 23 Years in the construction section. Throughout this time I’ve developed a strong active, ever-growing network of consultants, architect, and engineers, as a result of an emphasis on education, product awareness and providing design/product selection assistance. This network covers all the well know companies, such ARUP, Hoare Lea, Buro Happold, Capita, Ramboll, Waterman, WSP, Aecom, RWP, Hilson Moran, Atelier Ten, Foster & Partners and many more, the majority of which are based in London, but cover to whole of the UK & Ireland. This coupled with strong working relationships with some of the main mechanical contractors, I’ve achieved specification for KESSEL AG Grease Separators on Google London, Eataly London, and 30 Grosvenor Square (former US Embassy) to name three most recent, and specification of KESSEL multiple Hybrid Drainage Systems and Pump Stations, across the UK Water Companies and private sector. Representing KESSEL AG in the UK for 12 years, and Fullflow Ltd before this as a BID Manager and Specification Development BDM, I possessing an in depth understanding of the specification route to market, through developing relationships, delivery of presentations and CPDs, providing design/product selection assistance and tailored solutions, allowing my client base to specify with confidence. The end-to-end process is perhaps the most enjoyable part of my work, allowing me to work with consultants, architects, contractors, and in many cases site teams. My location in the North of the UK does not prevent the efficient use of time and resource, as many consultants prefer the use of virtual meetings and presentations. In fact I’ve found more recently that using MS Teams, and Zoom for design meetings, is a much more productive method, of achieving my KPIs. However where required my location puts me 2.5 hours by train to central London, and allows me to cover all major conurbation in the UK, including Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow.
